Christmas Cards in August

We have had the hottest summer this year with 100 degree temps in most of June, July and August so it is hard to think about Christmas. However I was going to the lake for 4 days and wanted to take a small project to work on that wouldnt take a ton of suppplies to do so I could take them in my camper. My girlfriend found this Christmas tree online and I fell in love with it and bought the paper to make my Christmas cards while I was gone. I have just finished the card fronts but thought I would share one with you. I love the way they turned out.

Tim Holtz!!
Well I am going through a Tim Holtz phase I love everything about this man. He is so talented and the stuff he does I think I would never have thought of that. He has such an eye for beauty and he always plays outside the box.I want to be just like him some day. :-) Anyhow... I went on a crop recently and I always take my epson photo printer with me because I am super unorganized and I never know what I am going to be inspired to do until I get to the crop and peruse my pics. Well this day my printer wouldn't work here I was at a 3 day crop and NO pictures and no printer. My girlfriend had purchased this album to do and had never attempted it and she gave it to me, I got my glimmer mist out and went to town, I had a wonderful time and called it Mamaws babies!!
I am going to pick a few pages out to share it has 35 pages so I will just share a few. I hope you enjoy it.

It has been way too long since I posted. That doesn't mean I haven't been crafty it just means I haven't taken pictures of my craftiness. :-) Well this week I made a couple of cards for a sick friend with cancer and I thought I should post them here. It is a Tent card and it was easy and fun to make.

Closer view of the Mosaic

Side 1 and 2

Mosaic layout

Ok I said I would post pics of my Mosaic layout that I have fallen in love with the way they turn out. The layouts take a long time because you are cutting everything up in 1 inch squares. However I am LOVING the look. I am going to post one here for you to look at. The technique and the supplied can be purchased at http://www.tamipotter.com/. I bought the kit at CHA and I am loving it. I have gotten a couple of friends hooked on it since I bought it.

Paper Flowers

I had a good friend send me a website this week that had a paper flower on it that i just fell in love with. So I proceeded to make my own. I was shocked how easy this was. I wanted to share my flower here. The link to the place where I learned to make it is here.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!

My Sketch Card

I like the sketch card swaps because you dont have to think as hard. :-) After the week I have had that was a welcome thing. With the sketch card they post a sketch and you create a card with the layout presented. All you have to do is think of the colors and the items you want on your card. I am really into pink and brown right now so I loved this color combo. I hope you enjoy my cards! Lesa

My Card I made for the Like it a latte swap

I bought this stamp set from Stampin up back several years ago and I never use it much. Although I love it I just cant seem to get it to look like i want it most times. With the Like it a Latte swap I had to try. :-) I am a bling girl so it always looks kind of mundane to me but this is what I came up with. It is made of all stampin uop products except the glitter on the cup.

Cards for Crafty Card Creators April Swap

First off I made a Image Swap card. These are fun and I never tried them before I joined the yahoo group Crafty Card Creators. It is one of the many things they have gotten me to try that is not in my comfort zone. I will be placing this one in the mail Monday to someone on the swap.

A new card

I made this baby girl card with my Pazzles Inspiration and will share the wpc file here.

I am an avid reader and love bookmark cards. I think it is too cool to be able to slip the corner off of the card and use it for a bookmark. I made a couple of these and they end up being my favorite cards. I wanted to share one with you here.

My first WPC File share

I made this little elephant card for a co workers baby shower. I thought it turned out adorable and wanted to share the file. You can snag the wpc file here. I think he turned out cute and wanted to share him with you.
